Memorable Manitobans: Blanche McIntyre (1886-1974)

Educator.

Born at Bayfield, Ontario on 21 February 1886, daughter of James McIntyre and Matilda Houston, she came to Manitoba where she was the Principal of La Riviere School (1915-1920) and Kenton School (1930-1932). She retired to Victoria, British Columbia where she died, unmarried, on 28 February 1974.
