Memorable Manitobans: Joyce Isabella Richardson Lief (1930-1963)
Educator.
Born at Hamiota on 17 July 1930, daughter of Jessie Charles Richardson (?-1980) and Lottie Isabella Irwin, she married Boyd M. Lief (?-?) on 4 July 1954 and they had three children. While living on a farm near Lavinia, she taught at Lavinia School and Decker School (1960-1962). She died in April 1963 and was buried in the Hamiota Cemetery.
