Amanda Lathlin

Indigenous leader, MLA (2015-2016), MLA (2016-2019), MLA (2019-2023), MLA (2023-2026).
Born on 17 July 1976, daughter of Oscar Lathlin, she served as a councillor for the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. In April 2015, she became the first woman of First Nations ancestry to be elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba. She was subsequently re-elected at general elections in 2016, 2019, and 2023. She received a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (2022). She died in March 2026.
