Memorable Manitobans: George Peter Krahn (c1933-2012)Educator. Born at Winnipeg around 1933, son of Peter B. and Justina Krahn, brother of Ernst Krahn, he was the Vice-Principal of Assiniboine School (1963-1964) and Principal of Bannatyne School (1966-1968), Bruce Junior High School (1968-1970), and Sturgeon Creek High School (1970-1978). In 1977, he was elected President of the Manitoba Association of Principals. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal (1977). He died on 3 April 2012.
