Memorable Manitobans: Henry Kenner (1832-1916)Cleric. Born at Tresmere, Cornwall, England in 1832, he was educated at a bible college in North Devon and was ordained in 1855. He served many Methodist churches in England before coming to Canada in 1861 and to Manitoba in 1882. He moved to Winnipeg in 1889. He celebrated his sixtieth anniversary as an ordained minister before his death at Winnipeg on 24 May 1916. There are papers (including a diary) at the University of Winnipeg. He was survived by four sons: Rev. A. W. Kenner, William G. Kenner, Henry Kenner, and Albert Kenner.
