Building contractor.
Born in Iceland on 17 November 1876, he came to Winnipeg in 1900 and worked as a building contractor.
On 11 December 1905, he married Ragnheidur Fjeldsted (c1883-1967) at Winnipeg and they had seven children, including Elin Kristin “Ella” Johannesson (1908-1991, wife of Percy Harold Smith), Helga Johannesson (1911-1992, wife of Tom Ayrton), Helgi Johannesson (?-?), Asgeir “Joe” Johannesson (1919-2005), and Thorberg “Thor” Johannesson (1921-2011).
He died at Winnipeg on 2 February 1932 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery. At the time of his death, he lived at 848 Banning Street.
