Memorable Manitobans: Victor Daniel Horsburgh (1865-1947)Born at Edinburgh, Scotland on 9 December 1865, son of artist John Horsburgh (1825-1924) and Agnes McIntosh (1833-1911), he apprenticed in architecture with well-known Edinburgh and London architects and practiced in Edinburgh before coming to Canada in 1909. He specialized in bank architecture, being responsible for buildings across the country, until retirement in 1933. He died unmarried at Victoria, British Columbia on 12 September 1947 and was buried there. Some of his architectural works in Manitoba included:
