Memorable Manitobans: William Goold Henderson (1850-?)Cleric. Born at Ayr, Scotland in 1850, son of Rev. Joseph Henderson and a daughter of Rev. William Goold, he studied law for a time but, upon joining the Methodist Church, was called to the ministry and was ordained at Brockville, Ontario in 1885. He held pastoral charges at Prescott and Perth, Ontario before coming to Winnipeg where he became pastor of Zion Methodist Church in 1892. He was elected secretary of the Montreal Conference in 1891. He was married to a daughter of Henry Lee of Lyn, Ontario. They had a son and a daughter.
