Hardware merchant, tinsmith.
Born in Bruce County, Ontario on 18 August 1866, one of three brothers who came to Manitoba and settled at Arden where he worked as a hardware merchant and tinsmith. He was a business partner in the firm Arden Cement Block and Building Company that constructued several buildings in the Arden area of concrete blocks. He moved to Winnipeg around 1921, worked as a hardware salesman, and lived with his wife Annie Hargreaves Gilhuly (1864-1935) at 317 King Edward Street. He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 2 April 1941 and was buried in the St. James Cemetery.
