Memorable Manitobans: Frank Robert Ehinger (1927-1995)

Municipal official.

Born in 1927 to Frank Henry Ehinger (1895-1982) and Helen Ehinger (1906-1959), he was a member of the Canadian Army Royal Canadian Artillery (1953-1956) and Manitoba Forestry in Lac du Bonnet from 1956 to retirement in 1985. He was active in the community, serving on the Milner Ridge School Board, Lac du Bonnet Arena Board, President of local minor hockey organizations, a volunteer member of the Lac du Bonnet Fire Department, President of the Lac du Bonnet Royal Canadian Legion (1970, 1974-1975), and Mayor of Lac du Bonnet (1978-1982). He was married twice, first to Marion Visca (1928-1971) and later to Annette Julia Downie. He died at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg on 24 March 1995.
