Businessman.
Born in Russia on 15 April 1877, son of Yechiel Michel Diamant Diamond and Miriam Ruskin, he came to Canada in 1902. He built several buildings around Winnipeg and was a salesman in a menswear store. He and wife Celia Sipa Wellman (1878-1941) had six children: Morris Bernard Diamond (1905-1977), Samuel Wolf Diamond (1907-1992), Joseph Diamond (1910-1955), Jacob Diamond (1910-1959), David Donald Diamond (1911-1976), and Fannie Belle Diamond (1914-2003). The family lived at 356 Manitoba Avenue (circa 1907-1911) and 824 Selkirk Avenue (circa 1914). He died at Winnipeg on 24 November 1944 and was buried in the Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery.
