Steve Derewianchuk

Born on 5 May 1935, in the 1973 provincial general election he was elected as a New Democrat for the Emerson constituency. He was defeated in the 1977 general election. He later served as Reeve for the Rural Municipality of Stuartburn (1980-1986). In recognition of his community service, he received a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal (1977). He was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame (2007).
