Memorable Manitobans: Anne Bogdonov Davis (1914-2005)

Community activist.

Born at Ste. Anne on 8 June 1914, daughter of Frima Loshkin and Jacob Bogdonov, early in her childhood the family relocated to the north end of Winnipeg. There, she married and raised her own family. She was active in the community, helping to organize a Parent Teacher Association for the I. L. Perez School. She served as President of the Mount Carmel Clinic and was a lifetime member in the Queen Esther Chapter of Hadassah Wizo. She was also an active member of the Rosh Pina Sisterhood (Harmony Chapter), and Order of the Eastern Star. She died on 25 February 2005.
