Memorable Manitobans: Florence Victoria McKnight Cameron (1903-1966)Educator. Born at Gunton on 24 September 1903, daughter of Thomas McKnight (1867-1937) and Elizabeth Florence “Bessie” Roome (1880-1970), she took teacher training and taught at Purple Bank School (1926, Principal) and Narcisse School (1926-1928). On 7 October 1929, she married John Cameron (?-?) at Winnipeg and had at least one child. They moved to British Columbia around 1947 where she later died at Victoria on 11 February 1966.
