Notary, insurance and loans.

Born at Boissevain, Manitoba on 26 October 1889, son of James Duncan Baine and Florence May Emmons. Married Gladys McGiffin. Has two sons. Was educated at Boissevain. Family came west in 1885. Father, Mr. J. D. Baine, sometime Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge, Ex-Mayor of Boissevain, died in 1923. He worked in the law office of T. L. Metcalfe. Came to Roblin, 1913, took charge of the law office of Simpson and McGirr; finally purchased the business in 1918. He was the Administrator of the Municipality of Hillsburg; Official Trustee of all schools in the municipality. Mayor of Roblin from 1918 to 1920. Member, Masonic Fraternity. Past Worshipful Master, Roblin Lodge 122. Chairman of the Union Church Board. Ex-Secretary of the Board of Trade. Address, Roblin, Manitoba.
