Memorable Manitobans: Michael “Mike” Babinsky (1962-2018)
School trustee.
Born at Winnipeg on 23 January 1962, son of restauranteurs Alex Babinsky (1917-1999) and Anne Horechko (1922-1999), he ran a sponge hockey leage at the Old Exhibition Grounds for 25 years. He was a trustee with the Winnipeg School Division for almost 25 years. He died at Winnipeg on 8 November 2018.
