Memorable Manitobans: Thomas John “Tom” Andrich (c1946-2018)
Educator, artist.
Son of John T. Andrejciw (?-1994) and Nellie Smando (1912-1990), he graduated from the Fine Arts program at the University of Manitoba and taught at Winnipeg schools, including J. B. Mitchell Junior High School. He also worked as a courtroom artist and created several murals around the city. He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 3 May 2018, survived by his wife and three sons.
