Educator.
Born at Winnipeg on 31 July 1971, daughter of Phyllis Dahlman and Harold Thorkelson, her childhood was spent at Arnes. She attended the University of Manitoba and, in 1994, received a BEd degree in early years education. She married and, in 1996, moved to The Pas to further her career and start a family of two children. She completed a certificate course in special education by correspondence in 1999, after which she joined the Kelsey School Division as a Student Services Coordinator.
In 2013, she moved to Carman to become Principal at Roland School. She was later Principal of Carman Elementary School. She served as President of the Manitoba Council for Exceptional Children and, in 2025, received an MEd degree from Brandon University.
She died at Carman on 11 September 2026.
