The Swan Valley Regional Secondary School in Swan River is the only high school in the Swan Valley region of Manitoba. Designed by the Winnipeg architectural firm of Ward Macdonald Cockburn McLeod McFeetors, it was built by Weber Construction at a cost of about $3.6 million. The school was opened officially on 21 October 1972 at a ceremony attended by Premier Ed Schreyer, MLA James H. Bilton, Mayor L. F. Matthews, MTS President Peter Terekoff, and School Division Superintendent John Kastrukoff.
