Historic Sites of Manitoba: Russell House (255 Machray Avenue, Winnipeg)

This 1¾-storey red brick and stucco, Arts and Crafts-style house on Machray Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 26 feet by 28 feet, was designed and built in 1920 by contractor James H. Berry at a cost of about $4,500, for owner Harold J. Russell. He was a teacher at St. John's Technical High School.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
