Historic Sites of Manitoba: Perth’s Dry Cleaners Building (678 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg)

This one-storey brick building at the southeast corner of Ellice Avenue and Victor Street in Winnipeg, measuring 32 feet by 62 feet, was designed by the local architectural firm of Waisman Ross and Associates. It was built between late 1961 and early 1962 as a dry cleaners for the newly established Carlton’s Cleaning Carousel Company, but under the local operation of Perth's Laundry Company. It opened officially in March 1962.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the building was occupied by a restaurant.
