Between 1900 and 1910, Scandinavian families settled in this area of the Rural Municipality of Rockwood. This cemetery was established in 1907. A monument inside the cemetery commemorates Norris Lake School No. 1007, McFarlane School No. 1524, Carlsborg School No. 1776, Westerham School No. 1474, and Norris Lake Swedish Baptist Church. The church stood one-half mile north of the cemetery, from 1907 to 1967, and a small replica is here.
