This 2½-storey brown brick and wood shingle siding, American Foursquare-style house is on Matheson Avenue East in Winnipeg. Measuring 25 feet by 27 feet, and 10 feet by 12 feet, it was designed and built between 1913 and 1914 by owner/contractorAlexander “Alex” Pollock at a cost of about $4,000. He sold it to Solomon Hart Green, a lawyer at the frim of Chapman and Green who occupied office space on the third floor of the Winnipeg Electric Railway Building.
It was later occupied by home economist Evelyn Luella Moore Ames. At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was slightly modified from its original appearance with some of its original windows having been replaced.
