This monument at Elkhorn in the Rural Municipality of Wallace-Woodworth was erected in commemoration of soldiers from the local area killed during military service. Made by the Portage la Prairie firm of Guinn and Simpson at a cost of $1,500, the monument was unveiled on 11 September 1927 at a ceremony attended by General H. D. B. Ketchen.
