Formerly located along Railway Avenue at La Riviere, on the CPR La Riviere Subdivision in what is now the Municipality of Pembina, a one-storey brick fan-shaped, four-bay engine house and turntable were constructed in 1908 for the Canadian Pacific Railway to provide repair services for steam locomotives. It was identical in appearance to a Turntable and Engine House at Reston.
The turntable and engine house were demolished in the 1960s but parts of the concrete foundation for the engine house remains at the site.
