Historic Sites of Manitoba: Clematis School No. 1938 (RM of Armstrong)

The Clematis School District was organized formally in August 1918 and a wood frame, one-room schoolhouse operated on a three acre site at the southwest corner of SW16-19-1W in the Rural Municipality of Armstrong, on land belonging to the family of artist Clarence Tillenius. By the early 1930s, district enrollment was around six pupils, who were instead transported to Rondeau School for classes. In 1936, it became part of the Armstrong Municipal School District No. 1842.
