Memorable Manitobans: Thomas A. Wright (1862-?)School teacher, farmer. Born Heathcote, Ontario, 4 March 1862, son of John and Jane Wright. Educated College Institute, Collingwood, Ontario, and Owen Sound, Ontario. Commenced career as school teacher, Red Wing, Ontario, 1880. Taught school there six years and on adjoining section 16 years; was postmaster at Red Wing three years while conducting general store there. Came to Manitoba, 1908 and settled at Bagot where farms and raises stock. Married Annie McColman, Red Wing, 1886; has four sons and two daughters. Societies: C.O.O.F.; L.O.L. Conservative; Anglican.
