Memorable Manitobans: Francis Henry Wood (1869-?)Farmer. Born in Sheffield, England, 18 July 1869. Came to Manitoba when a lad (14 years of age) to Brandon, worked for a number of years in the Glenboro District. Came to Morden in 1890, purchased land at Glencross. Later purchased present farm near Darlingford. Married Andie Black who was born in Blantyre, Scotland. Came to Manitoba in 1908. They have two sons and two daughters. Ten years a Member of the School Board. Secretary-Treasurer Calf Mountain School District. Member of the Union Church. Address, Darlingford, Manitoba.
