Memorable Manitobans: Wesley Rivers Wilson (1878-1954)Born at Beechburg, Ontario in 1878, he came to Winnipeg in 1889. Working as a contractor, he built several buildings around the city. Prior to retirement in 1935, he was a builder with the federal government. He and wife Esther ? (1880-1969) had four children: Stuart Wilson, ? Wilson (wife of E. J. McQuaig), Gladys Viola Wilson (wife of Albert Francis Mills), and Lena Wilson (wife of ? Kincaid). He died at Winnipeg on 9 July 1954 and was buried in the St. James Cemetery.
