Norman James Williamson

Archaeologist, historian.

Born in Scotland on 29 August 1939, he came to Canada at an early age where he was educated in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Manitoba near his family farm. He later received teacher training, a BA degree from the University of Winnipeg (1972), and BEd and MA degrees (1972 and 1976, respectively) from the University of Manitoba. He has worked at a wide variety of jobs, including as an archeologist and consultant. He writes extensively on a diverse range of topics.
