Memorable Manitobans: Thomas Richardson Whitley (?-?)
Banker.
Born Enniskillen, Ireland, son of Thomas R. and Catharine Whitley. Educated in Ireland. In commercial business, Liverpool, England, 1883-1892. Came to Canada, 1892, and engaged in private banking in British Columbia, 1893-1903; entered service of Royal Bank of Canada, 1903, when private bank was taken over by that institution; manager Winnipeg Branch, 1908; appointed western supervisor in 1910. Married Elsie Muriel Haine, 1903; has one son and one daughter. Clubs: Manitoba; St. Charles Country. Anglican. Address: 248 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg.
