Memorable Manitobans: Thomas Vincent (c1776-1832)Fur trader. He joined the Hudson's Bay Company in 1790 and became head of Brandon House in 1806. In 1814 he became governor of the Southern Department. He was made a chief factor when the HBC and North West Company merged in 1821. More information:
