Memorable Manitobans: Taras W. Uzwyshyn (?-2003)

Educator.

Born at Winnipeg, he received BSc and BEd degrees from the University of Manitoba. As an educator, he taught at Silver Heights Collegiate and was the Principal of Shevchenko Collegiate at Vita, Manitoba (1960-1961). He later moved to Edmonton, Alberta where he was a Professor in the English Department. He died at Edmonton on 3 January 2003.
