Memorable Manitobans: Edith Tipping (1916-2004)Curler. Born at Winnipeg on 17 April 1916, daughter of Ila Henderson (1896-1991) and Albert Feasey (1885-?), she lived all her life in the Elmwood area. As an enthusiastic member of the curling community, she enjoyed many years at the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club as an active golfer and board member, and she served as President of the Elmwood Ladies Curling Club and President of the Canadian Ladies Curling Association. In 1986, she was inducted into the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame. She and husband Edward R. Tipping (1915-1982) had two children. She died at Winnipeg on 1 August 2004 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
