Memorable Manitobans: William H. Thomson (1871-?)

Bank manager.

Born Collingwood, Ontario, 1871, son of E. Thomson, formerly assistant warehouse commissioner, and Margaret Thomson. Educated Winnipeg. Commenced career as junior clerk, Ontario Bank, Winnipeg, 1886; came to Portage la Prairie, 1902; was manager of the Imperial Bank of Canada; member of Parks Board, 1910; vice-president (and ex-president) Board of Trade; ex-secretary, General Hospital. Married Annie I. Balfour, Hamilton. Ontario, 1899; has one son and four daughters. Recreations: curling, duck shooting. Address: Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
