Memorable Manitobans: John Tait (1858-?)

Farmer.

Born Renfrew, Ontario, 25 December 1858. Came to Manitoba in 1881. Purchased land and has added to his holdings with the years. Married Laura Bell, Jones January 1896. Has two sons and four daughters. School Trustee, Manitou Consolidated School District several years. Helped organize Middleton School District, and was Trustee. Presbyterian (Union). Address, Manitou, Manitoba.
