Memorable Manitobans: Swan [Captain Swan] (?-?)
Cree leader.
He served as a middleman between Aboriginals and fur traders at Hudson Bay from 1715 to 1719, having been sent in 1715 by Governor James Knight to trade with the inhabitants of the Lake Athabasca region.
