Memorable Manitobans: Ruby Sirett (1882-1972)Nurse. Born in Wiarton, Ontario, she came to Manitoba in 1905. She trained for nursing at the Brandon General Hospital, winning the silver medal upon graduation in 1908. She was one of the first public-health nurses appointed in the province, nursing for many years in the Roblin District. She died in Winnipeg.
