Memorable Manitobans: Andrew Setter (1777-1870)Hudson's Bay Company employee, pioneer. He came to the North-West in 1798 and married Margaret Spence. They had seven children. The Setters lived on a river lot eleven miles north of Fort Garry at Park’s Creek. Setter died in February 1870 at the age of 93. He is commemorated by Setter Street.
