Lawyer, judge.

Born on 31 July 1933, son of Abraham H. “Abe” Schwartz (c1912-1967) and Betty Pitch (1913-1999), he attended the University of Manitoba and received a law degree. After practicing law for a number of years with the firm of Walsh, Micay and Company, he served as a judge on the County Court (1983-1984) and the Court of Queen’s Bench (1984-2004). On 20 November 1960, he married Sharon Flackman and they had two children. In recognition of his community service, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal (2002). He died at Winnipeg on 17 May 2021.
