Memorable Manitobans: Fay Schwartz (?-2001)
Community activist.
Born in Germany, she was a Girl Guide leader with the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, and later in life spent several months a year in Israel with the CAARI program of the Jewish National Fund. There she worked as a volunteer on kibbutzim and elsewhere. She died on 29 November 2001.
