Artisan.

Born in Poland on 23 November 1920, she immigrated to Canada in 1929 with her parents and siblings. In 1945, while working for Mary Maxim Limited, the largest mail-order company for needlework and craft kits in North America, she designed their first sweater pattern, the reindeer.
