Memorable Manitobans: Wesley Reimer (1932-2011)

Pharmacist, municipal official.

Born on 4 September 1932, son of Klaus and Mary Reimer, he received a BSc degree in Pharmacy from the University of Saskatchewan then owned and operated Reimer Pharmacy in Steinbach. Active in the community, he served as the Mayor of Steinbach (1993-1995). He worked actively with the Community Living Organization (now Envision) and assisted with the formation of Community Connections, serving as its Chairman for several years. He died at Steinbach on 5 March 2011.
