Born at St. Claude on 3 November 1911, one of nine children of Gaston Rebiffe (1884-1923) and Marguerite Le Dévéhat (1882-1966), he was proprietor of the A. Rebiffe Construction Company and President of the Winnipeg Builders’ Exchange (1971-1972). He served on its legislation commission (1975-1979) and received an honorary life membership (1978).
He was married twice, first on 29 September 1932 to Cornelia “Cora” Vandersteen (1911-2008) at Winnipeg. They had two daughters, including Irene Catherine Rebiffe, before divorcing in 1954. He later married Violet Wanda “Vi” Refczuk (c1927-2010). He was a member of the Fort Garry Rotary Club and Pine Ridge Golf Club.
He died at New Westminster, British Columbia on 21 April 1979. At the time of his death, he lived in Penthouse 3, 365 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg.
