Memorable Manitobans: Lachlan McNeill (1869-?)

Municipal official.

Born in Bruce County, Ontario, 11 February 1869, son of John McNeill and Agnes Thompson. Married Miss R. L. Lemox, 10 June 1908. Was educated at the public schools of Ontario. Farmed in Ontario. Came to Manitoba, 1901; engaged with Canadian Pacific Railways Lands Department; in 1906 entered the firm of Osler, Hammond & Nanton (Mortgage Department); remained until 1917 when he was offered and acceptedthe position he now holds (Commissioner of the Manitoba Farm Lands Association in the Manitoba government). Member, Elmhurst Golf Club, IOOF. Residence, 606 Gertrude Avenue, Winnipeg.
