Memorable Manitobans: Edwin James Lyon (1880-?)


Born Guelph, Ontario, 25 April 1880, son of James Walter and Lucy Lyon. Educated College Institute, Guelph; Toronto University, Toronto, Ontario; three years post graduate work, London, England, hospital; General Hospital, Birmingham, England, as house surgeon under Gilbert Barling, F.R.C.S., a year and a half. Came to Manitoba, 1910. Medical examiner, Home Life Insurance Company; North American Life Insurance Company; Western Life Insurance Company Club and Society: Manitoba; Midland Medical Society, England. Presbyterian. Address: 600 Broadway, Winnipeg.

In 1911, Lyon practiced in the McArthur Building, Winnipeg.
