Memorable Manitobans: Walter Peter Larsen (1897-1962)

Printer, municipal official.

He was a printer for 52 years and, for 15 years prior to his death, a representative of the Printing Pressmen of America. He was Reeve of the RM of East Kildonan for 14 years and a member of the Legion of Frontiersmen. He and wife Lillian C. Larsen (?-1978) had two daughters. He died at his Winnipeg home on 7 January 1962 and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery. He is commemorated by Larsen Avenue in Winnipeg.
