Memorable Manitobans: William Alfred Kenning (1875-?)Real estate and investment agent. Born at Guelph, Ontario in 1875, son of William James Kenning and Annie Bigbie, in 1891 he learned the hardware business in the employ of George A. Richardson at Guelph. He came to Winnipeg in 1900 and found work with the Miller-Morse Hardware Company, first as a travelling salesman for five years then sales manager for two years. In 1907 he established his own real estate and investment firm. He was a member of the Winnipeg Real Estate Exchange and the Commercial Travelers Club of Winnipeg.
