Memorable Manitobans: Henry Joseph Johnston (1876-1964)Farmer. Born in Grey County, Ontario on 14 September 1876, son of James Johnston (1839-1899) and Mary Ann Craig (1844-1927), brother of James W. Johnston and first-cousin of Adam Johnston, he came to Manitoba in April 1882 and farmed in the Mowbray district. On 6 January 1903, he married Ellen Isabel Thom (1882-1966) and they had two sons and three daughters. He served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Mowbray School District.
