Henry G. Izatt

Educator.

Born in 1938, he obtained a MSc degree from Birkbeck College of the University of London, England. He was Vice-Principal of a school in Northumberland (England) for three years and Principal of a school at Wallsend (England) for two years, prior to coming to Canada where he taught in the Fort Garry area of Winnipeg for three years and was Acting Principal of Arthur A. Leach Junior High School for one year. He was Superintendent of the Fort Garry School Division from 1981 to 1997. He is commemorated by Henry G. Izatt School.
